SummerQuest 9

What does every epic quest have in common? Heroic acts of valor in the face of evil? Inexplicably keeping your hair looking awesome even as you go for weeks without a shower? Awesome swords?! No, no, and nope!  Every quest involves lots of hiking from place to place! Take up the mantle of epic fantasy hero as you hike, whether it's deep into rugged mountains, parched desert, or across town. Your challenge is to take a picture when you reach your destination and post it on flickr, or describe your trek in the comments section. Five responses will complete this quest and unlock the next piece of the puzzle!

  1. I took my little hike today to the library, and trust me it was to hot to go much further than that. The library is only a few blocks away from my house. When I got their I was so hot and thirsty I wish I had brought some water with me. The librarian offered to give me some juice but after a few stops at the water fountain I was fine. Thank you Susannah! For more details and a picture...http://shellssummerreading.blogspot.com/2012/06/day-30.html

    1. Shell -

We always enjoying seeing you at the library! It looks like rain this afternoon. Maybe things will cool off a bit and your walk here won't be so bad!

  2. Shell,
When it gets this hot a little hike to the library definitely feels like an epic quest! Early morning or after dark are the way to go in June.

    1. Thanks for sharing! Where did you see the symbols, were they petroglyphs?

P.S. Once again, you and Swagg Master have unlocked another piece of the image!
